Cogir Senior Living in Ontario is seeking Personal Support Workers to deliver compassionate, resident-centered care across independent living, assisted living and memory care settings.

Join a team that values empathy, teamwork and precise documentation. Required are a PSW Certification and current CPR/First Aid, plus a Vulnerable Sector Check; prior experience in Senior Living is a plus.

Qualifications

• Personal Support Worker Certification from a certified educational facility.
• Internationally educated nurse accepted.
• Strong drive, respect and understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role.
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
• Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required.
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one.

Responsabilités

How YOU make a difference

PSWs support and deliver on all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident’s needs. This includes ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support. PSWs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication.

Our PSWs document the completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform throughout their shift and are able to quickly identify and communicate changes in resident care needs to our clinical leads.
