Cogir Senior Living in Oakville, Ontario is seeking passionate Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide compassionate, resident-centered care across independent living, assisted living and memory care settings.

You will support daily living activities, document care on an electronic health record platform, and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure safety, dignity, and high-quality service for our residents.

Qualifikationen

• PSW certification from a certified facility or internationally educated nurse.
• Strong teamwork and customer service orientation.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Willingness to obtain Vulnerable Sector Check and CPR/First Aid.
• Experience in a senior living setting is an asset.

How YOU make a difference

PSWs support and deliver on all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident’s needs. This includes ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support.

PSWs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication.

Our PSWs document the completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform throughout their shift and are able to quickly identify and communicate changes in resident care needs to our clinical leads.

What YOU bring

• Personal Support Worker Certification from a certified educational facility OR internationally educated nurse
• Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role
• Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required
• Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
