Job summary

Cogir Senior Living is seeking Personal Support Workers to provide compassionate, person‑centered care across retirement residences in Canada. You will support daily living activities, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and document care on electronic health records to ensure residents’ wellbeing.

We value strong communication, teamwork, and empathy, with certification required and willingness to obtain a vulnerable sector check.

Qualifications

• PSW certification from a certified educational facility or international nursing equivalency.
• Current Basic Life Support and First Aid certification required.
• Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Support and deliver on personalized activities of daily living for residents.
• Provide ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship, and nutritional support.
• Document care and changes in resident condition in electronic health records with clinical leads.

How YOU make a difference PSWs support and deliver on all personalized activities of daily living that meet our resident’s needs. This includes ambulatory support, personal hygiene, companionship and nutritional support. PSWs are an integral part of our multi-disciplinary team who build trusted relationships with our residents, families and teams with continuous ongoing and effective communication. Our PSWs document the completion of tasks on an electronic health record platform throughout their shift and are able to quickly identify and communicate changes in resident care needs to our clinical leads.

What YOU bring Personal Support Worker Certification from a certified educational facility OR internationally educated nurse Strong drive, respect and an understanding of the emotional and physical demands of the role Focus on teamwork and customer service with the ability to build trusted relationships Strong written and oral communication skills Demonstrated organizational and time management skills Volunteer/working experience in a Senior Living setting is an asset, not required Current Basic Cardiac Life Support and First Aid certification required Current (within six months) Vulnerable Sector Check (including a Criminal Background Check) or be willing to obtain one
