Job summary

Recovery Alberta is seeking a Provincial Initiatives Consultant to lead patient safety and quality initiatives, coordinating across programs and care settings. You will apply evidence-informed practices, clinical expertise, and policy knowledge to address complex patient safety issues for executive leadership.

Responsibilities include leading adverse event reviews, guiding quality improvement, and managing projects with strong data literacy using Tableau/Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) in Health, Business, Policy or Social Sciences.
• Active registration for those eligible under Health Professions Act.
• Minimum five years of experience in patient safety in a complex health care setting.
• Broad Addiction, Mental Health and/or Correctional Health expertise through experience in various settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate provincial patient safety initiatives across programs and care settings.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews and patient safety reviews of adverse events; develop recommendations with operational teams.
• Support stakeholders in implementing patient safety practices and surveillance; manage project plans, reporting and performance monitoring.
