Job summary

Nokia is seeking a procurement specialist in Canada to support prototype developments. You will collaborate with R&D, NPI purchasing and program managers to procure materials, mechanical and electrical components, and test equipment for hardware projects.

You will monitor material receipts, manage purchase orders, and resolve related issues while supporting supplier qualification and change control in a dynamic hardware environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; CS/EE preferred.
• 5+ years in NPI supply chain management.
• Proficient with MS Office, especially Excel/Access.
• Knowledge of SMA methods, hardware assembly, and factory test processes.
• Experience with PDM tools is an asset.
• Reading mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, BOMs.

Responsibilities

• Work with R&D, NPI purchasing and program managers to assist in procurement of materials for prototype developments.
• Procure mechanical and electrical components to support Prototype projects.
• Provide material order status
• Procure test equipment, software and other materials/services to support Hardware development
• Monitor prototype material receipts and maintain order/delivery records by project
• Resolve purchase order and payment issues
• Sell and transfer excess material to Production contract manufacturers as needed
• Support R&D engineers in identifying and vetting new suppliers
• Manage incoming prototype material and disposition
