Job summary

Nokia is seeking a HW Test Engineer to define Test Strategy, Test SW and HW required for cost‑effective, automated test solutions for manufacturing of network equipment.

You will analyze manufacturing quality issues, review production test data, and optimize test applications to reduce durations and costs. You will collaborate with Nokia’s R&D, quality and process engineering teams to improve product quality and reliability.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a Technologist Diploma.
  • 3+ years’ experience with Python, C and National Instruments TestStand and CVI environment.
  • 7+ years’ experience with both board and system‑level manufacturing test development and support.
  • 3+ years’ work experience in a Manufacturing Test Environment.
  • Ability to read product schematics and perform digital circuit analysis.
  • Experience using standard test tools like oscilloscopes, meters and traffic generators for production testing and debugging.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good understanding of Supply Chain processes.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.
  • Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to perform in a team environment and work with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment, meeting deadlines and providing global support to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • A valid active Canadian passport is required for travel outside Canada.

  • Knowledge of test methodology and testing techniques.
  • Debug and failure root‑cause analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with IP and other telecom technologies.
  • Experience with production data collection tools and product data management tools.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
  • Knowledge of graphical test development tools such as NI LabVIEW, NI TestStand, and C#.
