Job summary

SaskPower is seeking a talented Engineer, Protection, Automation & Control in Saskatchewan to research, develop and implement tasks for company-wide projects. You will prepare plans, cost estimates and schedules, and provide contract management and coordination services to align with strategic goals.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, P.Eng designation eligibility, and experience across planning facilities, design, construction, and commissioning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Eligible for membership in the Association of Professional Engineers of Saskatchewan (APEGS).
• Professional Engineering Designation - P. Eng.
• Experience in planning facilities, providing design, construction, operations, commissioning, contract management and coordination of projects.

Responsibilities

• Learn and perform assigned technical tasks and practices.
• Prepare project plans and monitor costs and schedules.
• Provide technical assistance for construction, commissioning and operations.
• Develop criteria, guidelines, standards based on codes, technologies and methodologies.
• Mentor and guide Engineers-In-Training and staff.
