Job summary

Shermco Canada is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (P.Eng.) to join our Saskatchewan engineering team. You will lead the design, analysis, and optimization of electrical power systems for a diverse client base, based in Saskatoon or Regina with hybrid options and remote work optional for Saskatchewan candidates.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, planning and executing projects, performing power system studies (short‑circuit, load flow, arc-flash), developing protection schemes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• P.Eng. registration in Saskatchewan is required or in-process.
• 8+ years of experience in power systems engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Plan, manage, and execute electrical engineering projects across industrial and utility sectors.
• Perform power system analysis and design, including new installations and upgrades.
• Design and integrate protective relaying systems (SEL, GE, Siemens, Schneider, or similar).
• Support substation automation solutions, including RTUs, HMIs, communications, and control systems.
• Conduct electrical studies such as short-circuit/coordination, arc-flash, load flow, grounding, and harmonics.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
