Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Protection and Control Engineer to join our team in Quebec. You will contribute to designing protection, control, automation, and supervisory systems for electrical facilities.

You will lead projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support procurement, commissioning, and startup activities within a broad energy sector scope. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• P.Eng. designation and regulatory membership are required or preferred.
• Strong knowledge of protection, control, and automation systems for HV/MV substations and power systems.

Responsibilities

• Participate in identifying client needs, developing technical solutions, and preparing service proposals, project estimates, and scope definitions.
• Design protection, control, automation, and supervisory systems for industrial facilities and electrical transmission and distribution networks.
• Act as a Discipline Lead and/or Project Manager for projects from preliminary studies through commissioning.
• Prepare, review, and approve electrical drawings and diagrams and other technical documents.
