Job summary

CDC Construction Ltd. in Vancouver is seeking a Proposal Coordinator to lead responses to EOIs, RFQs and RFPs, coordinating end-to-end proposals to win projects and drive revenue growth.

You will write and edit proposal content, manage resumes, project case studies and other materials, maintain a client database and coordinate project photography for future bids. You will also support marketing through social media and website updates.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of proposal experience in architecture/engineering/construction.
• Excellent business writing, editing and proofreading abilities.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign) and Microsoft Office.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Self-motivated, proactive and organized.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate proposals from beginning to end, meeting deadlines and deliverables.

• Prepare standard proposal content such as staff resumes and case studies.
• Maintain a database of project and client information.
• Coordinate project photography for proposals.

Lead the proposal function at CDC, responding to various prospective client requests (EOIs, RFQs, RFPs) to secure projects and drive revenue growth.

Specific Responsibilities

• Coordinate proposals from beginning to end, determining deadlines and deliverables to ensure response compliance


• Write and edit proposal content, tailoring responses to the specific client and project being pursued


• Write and edit standard content used for proposals, including staff resumes, project case studies and other supporting information


• Maintain a database of project and client information to be used on future proposals


• Coordinate project photography for use in future proposals


• Create and update sector-specific brochures and marketing materials


• Responding to award applications, when applicable

The Proposal Coordinator also supports the marketing function at CDC, which includes:

• Managing CDC's social media accounts (Instagram and LinkedIn)


• Updating CDC's website with new project information, photos and client testimonials


• Assistance in updating design of site signage, vehicle wrap and other visual branding, when needed

Requirements

• 2 - 5 years of proposal experience, within the architecture/engineering/construction industry


• Excellent business writing, editing and proofreading abilities


• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Indesign) and the Microsoft Office Suite


• Legally authorized to work in Canada


• Self-motivated, proactive and organized

Additional attributes that would be considered an asset include:

• Degree or Diploma in Communications, Marketing, Journalism or similar


• Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as Hootsuite, MailChimp and SurveyMonkey


• Experience managing content or communications in a corporate environment
