Job summary

McCuaig & Associates Engineering is seeking a full-time Proposal Coordinator to join our Burnaby procurement team. You will assist the Proposal Manager with preparing proposals and related marketing material, and help manage social media and written communications.

The ideal candidate has a degree in English or journalism or related field, strong English writing and editing skills, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while coordinating multiple tasks across MS Word and Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or related field.
• Experience with proposal writing in engineering/construction.
• Excellent written and oral English; proofreading/editing.
• Strong self-starter with ability to work with little supervision.
• Proficient with Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and collaborate with many personalities.
• Valid Driver's license.

Salary Range: $60,000.00 To $75,000.00 Annually

McCuaig & Associates is seeking a full-time ProposalCoordinator to join the procurement team at our Burnaby office. The successful candidate will assist our Proposal Manager with preparing proposals and related marketing material. Expected tasks for the role include:

• Help manage the company's social media accounts.
• Create written material for various applications, marketing documentation, internal templates/training material, and other related documents.
• Assist with maintaining high quality control standards for all documents produced by the company through quality control reviews.
• Assist with reviewing postings on various industry websites to identify possible opportunities.
• Preparation of proposals and RFP documents.
• Collaborating with technical staff to create successful applications for work opportunities.
• Following up on results and feedback (debriefs) of submitted bids.
• Preparation of contracts for review by senior personnel

About you:

Consideration will be given to individuals who possess the following skills and qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in English, journalism, or another related major and/or equivalent work experience.
• Previous experience with proposal writing, especially within the engineering/ construction industry.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills with an aptitude for proofreading and editing.
• Strong self-starter with a proven record of being able to work efficiently with little supervision.
• Strong computer skills, with an emphasis on proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Confidence/ ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks and projects and work well with many personalities.
• Valid Driver's license.
