Ocean Housing Supervisor Job Description

Ocean Housing has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Supervisor within their Property Services Repairs team.

This role offers a chance to join an organization that supports personal growth and development.

Under the guidance of the Property Services Manager, the Supervisor will be responsible for the daily delivery and coordination of a high-quality, customer-focused service, ensuring projects meet quality standards and targets.

Main Responsibilities

1. Provide effective line management to operational staff undertaking servicing, repairs, and renewals, ensuring all work meets Ocean Housing Property Services standards regarding delivery timescales and quality.
2. Act as the first point of contact for resolving problems or issues with operational staff.
3. Conduct inspections to determine work requirements, ensuring they are raised and progressed according to policies, procedures, specifications, and deadlines.
4. Manage specific delegated work area budgets, ensuring monitoring and financial decisions are value-for-money and compliant with financial regulations.
5. Lead, motivate, and coordinate the team, establishing performance standards and work targets.
6. Manage team and individual performance, promoting the Behaviours Framework and company values, and supporting team members to deliver services aligned with these principles.

Candidate Qualities

You should demonstrate a positive, welcoming demeanor, possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, and be capable of working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and maintaining composure. You will also promote equality, diversity, and inclusion, taking appropriate action against discrimination or inequality.

The Supervisor role involves participating in out-of-hours support for multi-trade staff on call.

The position is subject to a satisfactory Basic Disclosure check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
