Job summary

Primaris REIT is hiring a Maintenance Worker for our Medicine Hat Mall in Medicine Hat, AB. The role focuses on day-to-day maintenance and customer service to keep the property safe and presentable for customers, staff and tenants.

Responsibilities include inspections, minor repairs (drywall, painting, landscaping, basic plumbing & electrical), ensuring safety, coordinating with contractors, and delivering strong service to tenants. This temporary contract runs Sept 7, 2026 to Jan 31, 2027.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required; college diploma an asset.
• 1 year of experience in a similar field.
• Knowledge of a trade or HVAC is an asset.
• Ability to operate power tools and equipment.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Basic PC skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily property inspections and report repairs.
• Conduct minor repairs including drywalling, painting, landscaping, plumbing & electrical.
• Ensure property safety and respond to tenant concerns.
• Maintain property cleanliness and curb appeal.
• Collaborate with contractors and coordinate work with stakeholders.
