Job summary

CAA Club Group of Companies (CCG) seeks a Claims Adjuster to manage property claims with a member-centric approach and expedient resolution, while following file management practices to meet KPIs.

The role emphasizes investigating claims, coordinating with providers, and applying policy knowledge to determine coverage and reserves. A CIP track or progress toward CIP is expected, with a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years property claims handling experience with 2-3 years customer service.
  • CIP designation or working towards CIP designation.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, analyze, negotiate and settle property claims (low to moderate severity).
  • Interpret policy conditions, determine coverage for policyholders.
  • Coordinate investigations with service providers and vendors.
  • Assess liability, salvage and subrogation exposure.
  • Coordinate all parties through every stage of the claims process.
  • Review losses to ensure alignment with assignment criteria.
  • Respond to client complaints and appeals.
  • Determine appropriate loss reserves based on exposure and authority.

Position Details

We are looking for a Claims Adjuster that is Member-centric when progressing a claim file to an expedient resolution, while following file management techniques to meet/exceed key performance indicators.

What You Will Do:
  • Investigate, evaluate, analyze, negotiate and settle property claims (low to moderate severity in nature)
  • Interpret policy conditions, legislation and confirm coverage for policy holders
  • Conduct investigations, which include taking phone statements, coordinating services with service providers, consulting with contractors and vendors, etc.
  • Evaluate liability, salvage and subrogation exposure and potential
  • Contact and coordinate all parties involved in all stages of the claims process
  • Review and analyze initial losses to ensure file meets assignment criteria
  • Respond to client complaints and appeals
  • Determine proper kind of loss (KOL) reserves based on exposure and authority level
  • Examine claims files handled by Independent Adjusters when required
  • Prepare and maintain various reports on property claims
  • General support of claims area and special projects as required
Who You Are
  • An educational background including relevant post-secondary education
  • 2-5 years prior property claims handling experience coupled with 2-3 years customer service experience
  • CIP designation or working towards a CIP designation
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills are essential
  • Career minded individuals whom have demonstrated a career path
