We are a 4th generation family-owned real estate management and development company servicing over one million square feet of commercial, industrial and multi-family assets across BC and Alberta. Who we’re looking for:In this role, you will support financial planning, budgeting, and reporting while assisting with accounting tasks such as Accounts Payables, reconciliations and financial statement preparation. This position provides a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in both finance and accounting within the real estate industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in financial modeling and forecasting for real estate projects.
• Analyze market trends and competitor data to provide strategic insights for business growth.
• Review leases.

Accounting

• Perform Accounts payables processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing tasks.
• Maintain financial records and documentation.
• Help prepare financial statements and reports.
• Support compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations.
• Work collaboratively with the Property Management and Asset Management teams regarding matters relating to the portfolio
• Maintain accurate records of tenant billings, rent rolls, and lease abstracts.
• Monitor cash flow, prepare cash flow forecasts, and manage property budgets.
• Support the property management team with financial reporting and ad hoc analysis including CAM reconciliation preparation.
• Communicate with tenants regarding account discrepancies, rent payments, and other financial issues.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field., CPA or other relevant certifications are a plus
• 3 - 5 years of experience in accounting and/or financial analysis.
• Basic knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and reporting.
• Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Yardi, SAP, or similar) and Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate with teams.
• Must have real estate experience.
