Job description

Aston Carter's large client is seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to join their team on a 6-month contract-to-hire basis, with the intent to go permanent.

Key Responsibilities

• Full cycle property accounting duties.
• High level of communication across all levels of stakeholders.
• This accountant will look after intermediate level portfolio - including office / industrial / retail.
• Provide accurate and timely financial information as required internally by management and other departments, and externally to the client.
• Have full involvement, responsibility, and accountability for their portfolio, which includes all monthly, annual, and other duties as detailed in the job responsibilities.
• Complete all job functions relating to assigned properties accurately, efficiently, and by the assigned deadlines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Must Have :

• 2 years commercial property accounting experience - full cycle property accounting, CAM / Tax recoveries, and financial statement preparation.
• Advanced Excel Skills.
• Strong Communicator / written and verbal - Able to explain accounting principles to non accounting stakeholders.

Nice to Have :

• Working within an ERP.
