Canadian Tire Stores in Tillsonburg, Ontario, is seeking a Promotions Associate to plan and build in-store displays that maximize sales. You will support store maintenance, merchandising and customer service as part of a friendly, diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Place and price promotional displays in feature areas.
• Set up, maintain, and remove displays and signage.

• Execute retail tasks efficiently (stocking, labeling, facing, cleaning).
• Ensure inventory accuracy and report low stock.
• Place products and overstock in correct locations.
• Report stolen or damaged goods to management.
• Assist in store audits.
• Greet and assist customers and thank them.
• Comply with Health and Safety regulations.

Job summary

The Promotions Associate is responsible for planning and building displays throughout the store that are visually appealing and maximize impact on a day-to-day basis. This role involves store maintenance such as hole checks, stocking shelves, merchandising and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the promotional are placed and priced appropriately in the feature areas, creating displays to drive sales.
• Execute merchandise layout changes (set-up, maintenance, and removal of displays, signage, etc.).
• Stock shelves and merchandise display areas neatly and safely.
• Maintain the feature ends, side panels, and platform displays by replenishing as required.
• Ensure that retail tasks are executed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labels, facing, clean area etc.).
• Ensure inventory accuracy, and identify and report low stock levels.
• Ensure that product and overstock is placed in the appropriate locations.
• Report stolen and damaged goods to Management.
• Assist in meeting store audit performance requirements.
• Complete necessary paperwork on a daily basis.
• Greet, assist and thank customers in a friendly manner.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Requirements / Skills

• Comfortable with leveraging technology
• Comfortable with numbers, quantitative metrics and thinking analytically
• Ability to complete detail-oriented tasks according to instructions
• Ability to work shifts (days, evenings, week-ends and holidays)
• Ability to handle physical demands including standing/walking for 8 hours while frequently lifting and carrying items, moving large quantities of merchandise. Comfortable using a ladder, twisting, turning and reaching
• Strong customer service and selling skills. Thrive on creating a great customer experience.
