Department Radio

Stingray Radio Ottawa has a rare, and immediate, opening for the position of Promotions Coordinator. We are looking for someone who knows how to have fun and can represent our brands in an energetic, responsible, and professional manner. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks for The New Hot 89.9 and LiVE 88.5, both in-office and on the streets.

What you’ll do

• Manage and maintain promotional prizes and oversee the winner fulfillment process
• Draft winner releases, contest rules & regulations
• Oversee the hiring, coaching, and supervision of brand ambassadors
• Assist in maintaining station websites and social media as required
• Create images and videos for websites and social media as required
• Oversee sales remotes from coordination and execution to post-remote wrap report
• Participate in on-site activations (concerts, trade shows, live broadcasts, community events)
• Create wrap-up reports for station events, promotions, and campaigns
• Maintain station signage, equipment, supplies, vehicles, and related documentation
• Attend station and client events as needed
• Provide administrative support and reception coverage
• Edit episodes of the Morning HOT Tub Podcast
• Perform other duties as assigned by Promotions Manager and Program Directors

What you bring

• Previous street team or radio experience is an asset
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Audition/Photoshop
• Self-motivated, team-oriented with a positive attitude and passion to succeed
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and inspire brand ambassadors
• Understanding that radio is a 24/7 medium; this is not a traditional 9-5 job
