Job description

Stingray Radio Ottawa has a rare, and immediate, opening for the position of Promotions Coordinator. We are looking for someone who knows how to have fun and can represent our brands in an energetic, responsible, and professional manner. The successful candidate will perform a variety of tasks for The New Hot 89.9 and LiVE 88.5 both in-office and on the streets.

What you’ll do

• Manage and maintain promotional prizes and oversee the winner fulfillment process
• Drafting winner releases, contest rules & regulations
• Oversee the hiring, coaching and supervision of brand ambassadors
• Assist in maintaining station websites and social media as required
• Creating images and videos for websites and social media as required
• Oversee sales remotes from coordination and execution to post-remote wrap report
• On-site activations (i.e., concerts, trade shows, live broadcasts, community events)
• Creating wrap up reports for station events, promotions and campaigns
• Maintain station signage, equipment, supplies, vehicles and related documentation
• Attend station and client events as needed
• Administrative support and reception coverage
• Editing episodes of the Morning HOT Tub Podcast
• Other duties as assigned by Promotions Manager and Program Directors

What you bring

• Previous Street Team or radio experience would be considered an asset
• Excellent time management skills and ability to work under pressure
• General knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe Audition/Photoshop
• Self-motivated, team player with a positive attitude and passion to win
• Detail oriented
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to lead and inspire our brand ambassadors
• Recognize that radio is a 24/7 medium and this is not a traditional 9-5 Mon-Fri position
