Promotional Products Marketing Assistant – Full-time Position

We are a local company providing Promotional Products, Printed Materials and Branded Apparel with in-house decoration to leading companies across Canada. We have an experienced team of Overachievers, Creative Geniuses & Dog Lovers (cats are cool too). We’re also very effective BRAND BUILDERS! We are experts at creating meaningful relationships between brands and their customers. For over 37 YEARS our team at MOBO has been ensuring that every client’s unique brand vision is accurately relayed to the people who matter the most to them!

POSITION SUMMARY:

The purpose of this role is to build, maintain and growPROMOTIONAL MARKETING BUSINESSusing our effective growth formula. Your main responsibility will be to support a team of consultants who sell promotional products. NOTE: This position is full-time. The team here at MOBO is located near the Saskatoon airport at 335 Robin Way.

DAY-to-DAY

Day-to-day, you’ll be supporting a team, creating proposals, and pitching our products and services…every day will be FUN and different! As part of this opportunity, you’ll also be a part of a VERY fast-paced and high-growth company. You’re getting in on the ground floor of an experienced but growing sales team and will have input and responsibility as we grow the team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • A marketing diploma or degree
  • At least 1 year in some sales capacity
  • Sales process experience
  • Proposal creation experience

Preferred:

  • At least 2 years of high-performance experience in marketing or sales
  • Worked with a marketing agency or a promotional products company previously
  • Basic math and accounting experience

DISQUALIFIERS:

Please DO NOT apply to this position if you:

• Have less than 1 year of sales experience

• Don’t have a car

• Don’t have the ability to self-motivate

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Monitor and share vendor product information and pricing with sales team including new products, innovations and sustainability features
  • Seeking and gathering information, pricing, pictures and descriptions of products and services from vendors for the purpose of creating quotes and presentations in SAGE, PowerPoint or Word in response to inquiries from prospects and clients in a timely manner
  • Supporting our Sales Team by creating proactive marketing catalogs, special offers and spec samples
  • Identify and coordinate with Graphic Artist weekly Features/Specials
  • Make recommendations for sample orders of new products for our showroom
  • Process sizing sample returns
  • Manage the onboarding process for new clients and review requests
  • Collaborate & problem solve successfully with internal teams
  • Participating in PK’s (Product Knowledge) meetings where vendors share information about their products and services
  • Participating in trade shows related to learning about promotional products and services
  • You are a leader without title. Being a kind, hard working and dedicated worker is required.There may be activities outside of the duties above which are not listed but will simply fall under being a supportive co-worker.

THE PAY:

Starting at $18 to $20 per hour (depending on experience).
