Job summary

Hitachi Rail Canada Inc. in Toronto, Ontario, is seeking a Project Scheduler to support the creation and maintenance of the project schedule under the direction of the Project Planner.

The role requires 3+ years in planning software, a college or university graduate, and proficiency in Primavera, Microsoft Project, and Excel, plus strong communication and English skills. Base salary ranges from CAD 68,583 to CAD 85,729 with company-paid health, dental and vision, a retirement plan with match,

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in using planning software.
• College or University graduate or equivalent working experience.
• Basic level skills in Primavera and Microsoft Project software.
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Good communication skills.
• Good English skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and update the Project schedule in Primavera under the direction of the Project Planner
• Comply with project reporting requirements as defined by process or contract
• Update the project schedule on monthly and quarterly basis with changes to EAC, activity dates and labour demand
• Provide reports/metrics including Critical Path, Earned Value, EAC variance, Critical milestones movement, KPIs & labor forecasts under the guidance of the Project Planner
