Socket.dev is seeking a Procurement Specialist to own the end-to-end procurement lifecycle for high-value oil and gas fabrication projects. You will coordinate with Project Management and Engineering to source major equipment, negotiate terms, and manage supplier relationships to meet tight deadlines while maintaining quality and compliance.
Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of related experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with ERP systems and project management tools.
The Procurement Specialist is accountable for managing the end-to-end procurement process for complex, high-value, or strategically important oil and gas fabrication projects. This role assumes full ownership of the commercial and logistical project procurement lifecycle—from pre-FEED quotation through final material delivery and documentation closure, as well as site construction support.
The Specialist acts as the primary strategic liaison for Project Management and Engineering, driving critical sourcing and negotiation activities for major equipment and long-lead items. Key responsibilities include leading complex technical and commercial evaluations, negotiating favorable terms, ensuring alignment with project budgets, and proactively identifying and mitigating major supply chain risks.
This position requires a comprehensive understanding of fabrication processes, advanced supply chain logistics, and the ability to influence cross-functional teams and external suppliers to achieve aggressive project deadlines and maintain strict adherence to quality, ethical, and industry standards. Success in this role prepares the individual for the broader strategic and mentorship responsibilities of a Senior Project Procurement Lead.
