Associated Engineering, a proudly Canadian, employee-owned company, seeks an experienced Project Manager, Water for our Edmonton office. You will manage varied municipal water/wastewater projects and take a lead role in business development, project management and project delivery across Northern Alberta.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited program, or a diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited institute.
• Registered, or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with APEGA or as a technologist with ASET.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in engineering consulting focused on water or wastewater.
• Proven project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Project Management for water and wastewater projects across Northern Alberta.
• Plan, design and provide technical expertise on water projects for municipal clients (Towns, Municipal Districts, Counties, First Nations).
• Maintain client communications and align with client service objectives.
• Guide the project team in preparing technical reports to meet project and client needs.
• Prepare proposals, support business development and marketing in the municipal sector.
• Collaborate with the Manager, Regional Water to develop business plans, staffing and growth of the group.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Project Management for a variety of water and wastewater projects throughout Northern Alberta.
• Planning, designing, and providing technical expertise on water projects for a diverse municipal client sector including Towns, Municipal Districts, Counties, and First Nations Communities.
• Maintaining client communications and expectations to our client service objectives
• Guiding the project team through the preparation of technical reports to support the project and ensure the project and client needs are met in an effective and timely manner.
• Preparing proposals, business development and marketing within municipal sector.
• Collaborating closely with the Manager, Regional Water to develop business plans, staffing and overall growth of the group

Does this sound like you?

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institute or diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited technical institute.
• Registered, or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with APEGA or a technologist with ASET.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive experience in the engineering consulting industry focused in the water or wastewater sector.
• Proven project management experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Committed team player and highly motivated.
• Self motivated and looking for career advancement.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to travel within Canada.
