Job summary

Associated Engineering in Calgary, AB is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead municipal infrastructure projects including water and wastewater systems. This on-site role supports the full project lifecycle, from planning to construction, with emphasis on client relations, proposals, and technical reporting.

The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree or Eng Tech diploma, 8+ years in consulting, and is eligible for APEGA registration; PMP is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering or diploma in Engineering Technology.
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in the engineering consulting industry focused in municipal infrastructure.
  • PMP designation would be an asset but is not essential; must be able to travel within Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management for water, wastewater and stormwater projects.
  • Support full life-cycle from planning through to construction completion.
  • Maintain client communications and meet client service objectives.
  • Prepare proposals, business development and marketing within municipal sector.
  • Guide the project team through preparation of technical reports to support project and client needs.

Project Manager

What you’ll do:

  • Project Management for a variety of water, wastewater and stormwater projects.
  • We support our team members to contribute for the full life-cycle of a project, from planning through to construction completion.
  • Maintaining client communications and expectations to our client service objectives.
  • Preparing proposals, business development and marketing within municipal sector.
  • Guiding the project team through the preparation of technical reports to support the project and meet project and client needs in an effective and timely manner.

Does this sound like you?

  • Undergraduate degree in Engineering from an accredited post-secondary institute or diploma in Engineering Technology from an accredited technical institute.
  • Registered, or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with APEGA or a technologist with ASET.
  • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in the engineering consulting industry focused in municipal infrastructure.
  • EPC and petroleum industry experience may also be considered.
  • A PMP designation would be considered an asset but is not essential.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Committed team player and highly motivated.
  • Positive outlook, self-motivated, customer focus and curious mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel within Canada.
