Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Project Manager, Municipal Infrastructure to lead the delivery of water and wastewater projects across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. You will coordinate multidisciplinary teams and contribute to the design and construction of municipal linear infrastructure in a hybrid work model, with two days per week in Mississauga, Toronto, or Bowmanville.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • P.Eng. licensed with PEO or eligible for transfer.
  • 7+ years of experience in municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Design and/or construction experience for municipal underground infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with trenchless technologies and rehabilitation methods is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills; ability to manage tasks in a team environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Prepare and review engineering studies, EA support documents, technical reports, plans, calculations, and contract documents.
  • Develop cost estimates, technical specifications, and tender packages.
  • Coordinate with senior engineers, project managers, and cross-disciplinary teams.
  • Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Assist in proposal development and project approach.
  • Support project planning and resource coordination to meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.
  • Provide mentorship to junior staff and designers.
  • Support other CIMA+ offices on large-scale initiatives.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager, Municipal Infrastructure to support and lead the delivery of water and wastewater conveyance projects across the GTA and Southwestern Ontario. In this role, you will manage project tasks, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to the successful design and implementation of municipal linear infrastructure projects. You will also play a key role in supporting client relationships and contributing to the growth and development of our team.

You will have the opportunity to take part in our hybrid work model, which offers flexible work hours and includes two days per week in our Mississauga, Toronto, or Bowmanville office.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Support and manage municipal water and wastewater conveyance projects through planning, design, and construction phases.
  • Prepare and review engineering studies, Environmental Assessment support documents, technical reports, plans, calculations, and contract documents.
  • Develop cost estimates, technical specifications, and tender packages.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers, and coordinate with cross-disciplinary project teams.
  • Communicate and liaise with clients, regulatory agencies, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Assist in proposal development, including technical content and project approach.
  • Participate in project planning and resource coordination to support schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff and designers.
  • Support other CIMA+ offices across Canada on large-scale water and wastewater initiatives.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) licensed with PEO or eligible for transfer.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience with municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects, specifically linear conveyance systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in design and/or construction services for municipal underground infrastructure projects.
  • Familiarity with trenchless technologies and/or rehabilitation methods considered an asset.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage tasks and priorities in a team-based environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with engineering design software and virtual collaboration tools.
