Job summary

WSP’s Mining Project Management team in Toronto or Mississauga invites a developing Project Manager to grow delivery, financial, and client-management capabilities within a structured project governance framework.

You will work with experienced project leaders on multidisciplinary mining and environmental projects across Canada, gaining mentorship and a clear development pathway while upholding health, safety, and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience supporting or coordinating projects within consulting, engineering, environmental, or mining-related environments.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Working knowledge of project management fundamentals: scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Experience supporting project financials, schedules, and technical deliverables in a professional services environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to project management systems is an asset.
• Experience in mining, environmental, or regulatory projects is an advantage.
• Experience using Oracle for financial tracking is an asset.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.

• Supporting or coordinating multidisciplinary mining and environmental projects to meet scope, schedule, budget, and quality commitments.
• Coordinating project teams and defined workstreams for effective cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Contributing to project financial performance through budgeting, cost tracking, forecasting, and invoicing activities.
• Building strong client relationships by serving as a day-to-day contact and providing clear progress updates.
• Promoting health, safety, and quality aligned with our Business Management System and project delivery standards.
• Collaborating with experienced project leaders to strengthen delivery outcomes.
• Supporting successful delivery of projects that create value for clients, communities, and the environment.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900
MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800
NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
