Job summary

WSP in Terrace, British Columbia, is seeking a Project Manager / Project Engineer to lead multidisciplinary heavy industrial and mining projects from concept to completion. You will work with an expert team to meet client objectives, manage resourcing and schedules, and ensure safety and quality across all project phases.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in mining/heavy industrial consulting.
• At least 3 years of project management experience leading multidisciplinary teams.
• BC-desired designation: EIT, CET or P.Eng.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive project resourcing and budget management to ensure profitable and predictable performance.
• Coordinate engineering deliverables across disciplines for seamless execution.
• Oversee man-loading planning to optimize resource allocation.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and cost control reports.
• Manage project changes proactively to minimize risk and maintain scope.
• Implement and reinforce HSE and quality procedures throughout all project phases.
• Represent WSP in meetings and provide timely client updates.
• Respond promptly to matters related to scope, risks, and execution.
• Capture lessons learned to promote continuous improvement.
• Lead or support business development, including proposals and project scoping.
• Take on additional responsibilities to support successful delivery.

We're excited to welcome a Project Manager / Project Engineer to our growing team in Terrace, British Columbia. In this role, you'll support the delivery of complex, multidisciplinary heavy industrial and mining projects from concept to completion. You'll collaborate with an expert team to meet client objectives and solve real-world challenges across the Resources sector.

• Lead or support business development initiatives, including proposal preparation and project scoping.
• Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support successful project delivery.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering.
• 7+ years of experience in consulting, focused on mining and/or heavy industrial projects.
• Minimum 3 years of project management experience overseeing multidisciplinary project teams.
• Designation as EIT, CET or P.Eng in BC desired.
• Highly self-motivated, with a desire to grow and take on new challenges.
• Strong ability to engage confidently with clients in a multi-disciplinary environment.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to client sites.

MB & ON:$81,900 - $112,800

NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC:$81,100 - $107,700
