Job summary

WSP is seeking a developing Project Manager to join the Mining Project Management team in Toronto or Mississauga. You’ll contribute to multidisciplinary mining and environmental projects across Canada, under structured governance and mentorship.

Grow delivery, financial, and client-management capabilities alongside experienced leaders. You will work on scope, schedule, budget, and risk management, while building client relationships and promoting health, safety, and quality in line with WSP

Qualifications

• 3–5 years coordinating projects in consulting, engineering, environmental, or mining contexts.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or related discipline, or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of project management scope, schedule, budget, risk management.
• Experience with project financials, schedules, and technical deliverables in professional services.
• Strong organization and communication; proficient in Microsoft Office; PM systems are a plus.

• Support delivery of multidisciplinary mining and environmental projects within scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Coordinate project teams and workstreams across disciplines for effective collaboration.
• Contribute to project financial performance through budgeting, tracking, forecasting, and invoicing.
• Build strong client relationships as day-to-day contact and provide progress updates.
• Promote health, safety, and quality aligned with WSP standards.
• Collaborate with project leaders to strengthen execution and delivery outcomes.

The Skills That Set You Apart

You bring:

• 3–5 years of experience supporting or coordinating projects within consulting, engineering, environmental, or mining-related environments.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Geoscience, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• A working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
• Experience supporting project financials, schedules, and technical deliverables within a professional services environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office; exposure to project management systems is an asset.
• Experience in mining, environmental, or regulatory projects is considered an advantage.
• Experience using Oracle for financial tracking is an asset.
• PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is an asset.

Compensation

AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $89,800 – $118,900

MB & ON: $81,900 – $112,800

NB, NL, NS, PE & QC: $81,100 – $107,700
