Job summary

Andrew Peller Limited in Oakville, Ontario is seeking a Project Manager to lead a portfolio of initiatives across multiple business units, ensuring alignment with strategy and delivering projects from initiation through deployment and transition to operations.

You will build governance, manage budgets and resources, mentor teams, report on status and benefits, and partner with business and technology leaders to optimize value. This hybrid role combines in-office collaboration with remote work.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Project Management.
  • Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and portfolios.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
  • Experience establishing and maintaining project governance, portfolio reporting and prioritization frameworks.
  • Proven success managing project budgets, resource planning, vendor relationships and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership for project teams by building and motivating team members to achieve project objectives, fulfill responsibilities and meet key milestones.
  • Manage a portfolio of projects and initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, business priorities and resource capacity.
  • Full project lifecycle ownership, including successful delivery from initiation through deployment and transition to operations for multiple concurrent initiatives.
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment, demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence.
  • Develop business cases, project estimates, resource plans and detailed project schedules for all phases of the project lifecycle.
  • Manage day-to-day project activities, resources and governance processes, including facilitating project team and stakeholder meetings.
  • Provide regular status reporting on portfolio and project health, including milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, issues, financials and overall performance.
  • Partner with business and technology leaders to prioritize initiatives, manage competing demands and ensure optimal allocation of resources across the portfolio.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, business processes and strategic objectives.
  • Establish and maintain project and portfolio governance practices, ensuring appropriate oversight, escalation and decision-making frameworks.
  • Manage ongoing quality assurance activities and participate in the resolution of project and program related issues.
  • Develop and manage all aspects of project engagement, including planning, vendor relationships, communications, resources, budgets, risk management, change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Set and continually manage project and program expectations while delegating and overseeing deliverables with team members, vendors and stakeholders.
  • Monitor, track and control project outcomes, addressing issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path activities to maintain delivery commitments.
  • Ensure projects are executed in accordance with approved scope, schedule, budget, quality and governance standards.
  • Manage project and portfolio risks, issues and changes to minimize impact and maximize business value.
  • Measure project outcomes and benefits realization to ensure expected business objectives and value are achieved.
  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of project management methodologies, standards, templates and reporting practices.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of project and portfolio management principles, methods, governance frameworks and delivery practices

The Project Manager is responsible for leading the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects that span one or more business units. This role ensures initiatives are aligned with business strategy and organizational priorities while managing resources, schedules, budgets, risks and quality throughout the full project lifecycle. The skills, knowledge and experience this teammate will bring:
  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Project Management, including management of multiple concurrent projects and portfolios
  • PMP certification preferred; Portfolio Management (PfMP), Agile or related certifications considered an asset

  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver results through effective planning, accountability, governance and a strong sense of urgency
  • Experience managing projects and portfolios within a medium-sized CPG organization considered a significant asset
Compensation:

$110,000 - $120,000 annually, plus annual bonus eligibility and comprehensive benefits.

Thishybrid role offers a combination of in-office collaboration and remote work. Expectations for this role are to currently be in office twice per week and will vary from our Grimsby to Oakville offices. This can/will vary by week and project and will also include occasional travel to Niagara on the Lake.
