Job summary

Finney-Taylor Consulting Group Ltd. in Edmonton seeks a seasoned Project Manager to lead complex construction projects.

You will apply engineering background and PM expertise to manage schedules, budgets, and stakeholder expectations while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of project management experience in construction, a degree in engineering or equivalent, and PMP designation is highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree or technical certification with substantial experience in engineering and PM.
• Extensive PM experience in construction environments is required.
• Experience with utility construction in energized substations and safety practices.
• Experience with permitting, environmental assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
• PMBOK-aligned project management processes knowledge.
• PMP designation is highly desirable; ASEO lifecycle experience is a plus.
• Procurement and contract administration experience including RFPs and tenders.

• Experience with utility construction in energized substations and knowledgeable inthe hazards and appropriate safe work practices;
• Understanding and experience with project permitting, environmental assessmentsand stakeholder engagement;
• Thorough understanding and experience of foundation Project Managementprocesses and procedures aligned with the Project Management Body ofKnowledge;
• Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is highly desirable; and
• Experience and knowledge around Alberta Electric System Operator projectlifecycle is highly desirable; and
• Experience in major equipment and construction services procurement including;Request for Proposal development, tendering, evaluating, contract negotiationsand contract administration.
