Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Project Manager, Facilities at Marcel-Laurin Plant 1. You will identify plant needs, translate them into layouts, infrastructure or facility improvements, and manage the project lifecycle from needs assessment to commissioning.

The role requires a university or college degree in related engineering or architecture and at least three years of project management in an industrial setting. Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project is expected; AutoCAD or PMP knowledge is a plus.

Qualifications

  • University or college degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills, autonomy, leadership and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, able to translate technical information and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and MS Project; AutoCAD knowledge or PMP certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Identify needs of plant sectors and translate them into projects for layout, infrastructure, or facility improvements.
  • Develop and recommend safe, innovative solutions tailored to internal clients and operations.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from needs assessment to commissioning, ensuring budgets, timelines and deliverables.
  • Simultaneously lead multiple projects and initiatives, balancing priorities and constraints.
  • Act as a central point of contact between internal clients, teams, contractors and management.
  • Monitor contractors and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality and regulatory requirements.
  • Anticipate risks and operational impacts to ensure project success and business continuity.
  • Communicate project progress, issues and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage projects involving production equipment changes and facility improvements.

What are your contributions to the team?

  • Manage projects involving the addition, replacement, or relocation of production equipment, infrastructure improvements, workspace design, health and safety, regulatory compliance, and operational optimization.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a university or college degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • You have at least three (3) years of project management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • You are results-oriented and recognized for your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in an environment where priorities change rapidly.
  • You demonstrate excellent organizational skills, autonomy, leadership, and strong problem-solving abilities.
