Job summary

Bombardier is seeking a Project Manager to lead high-impact aerospace projects at the Marcel-Laurin Plant in Quebec. The role centers on defining strategy, managing budgets and teams, and ensuring on-time delivery of complex programs within a matrix organizational structure.

Fluency in French and English is required, along with strong communication and analytical skills. The position offers day-shift, on-site work with a focus on technology excellence and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five years of project management experience.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes in aeronautics (Asset).
• Experience in matrix project management and HR management assets are a plus.
• PMI certification is an asset.
• Strong analytical, oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and propose cutting-edge technological acquisition opportunities for machining, sheet metal, composite, and assembly sectors.
• Define project strategy: content, scope, resources, deadlines, costs, risks, quality, communications, training.
• Manage development project phases: feasibility study, mandate, business plan, acquisition, implementation, production start-up.
• Manage budget, schedule and resources across all phases.
• Prepare and present progress reports to management at different levels.
• Align resources and act as interface between matrix services; manage client expectations and change requests.
• Develop risk management and mitigation plans; participate in problem solving and recovery to meet key deliverables deadlines.
• Support continuous improvement of project management processes.

How to thrive in this role?

• You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering, or any other relevant experience;
• You have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management;
• You possess knowledge of manufacturing processes in the aeronautical industry (Asset);
• You possess assets in human resources management within the framework of matrix project management;
• You hold a PMI certification (asset);
• You have a good analytical mind;
• You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a great sense of organization;
• You are fluent in French and English both written and spoken;
• You have knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project;
• You are passionate about achieving technological excellence.
