Job summary

Bombardier in Montreal, QC, is seeking a Project Manager, Facilities to lead cross-functional projects spanning layout, infrastructure, and production equipment upgrades at the Marcel-Laurin Plant. You will manage needs assessment, design reviews, budgeting, and commissioning while keeping timelines and safety requirements at the forefront.

  • University/college degree in engineering or architecture.
  • Minimum 3 years' industrial project management experience.
  • Results-driven with ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational, leadership and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and MS Project; AutoCAD knowledge or PMP is a plus.
  • Interested in growing in a dynamic, innovative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Identify needs of plant sectors and translate into projects for layout, infrastructure, or facility improvements.
  • Develop and recommend safe, innovative solutions for internal clients and operations.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle from needs assessment to commissioning within budget and timelines.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and constraints.
  • Serve as central point of contact between clients, teams, contractors, and management.
  • Monitor contractors for health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements.
  • Anticipate risks and impacts to ensure project success and business continuity.
  • Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage projects involving production equipment relocation or upgrades and workspace design.

What are your contributions to the team?
  • Identify the needs of the various sectors of the plant and translate them into projects for layout, infrastructure, or facility improvements.
  • Develop and recommend safe, innovative solutions tailored to the needs of internal clients and operations.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, from needs assessment to commissioning, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Simultaneously lead multiple projects and initiatives, balancing competing priorities, operational constraints, and company objectives. A
  • ct as a central point of contact between internal clients, internal teams, contractors, and management to facilitate decision-making and project execution.
  • Monitor contractors and ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory requirements. Identify opportunities for improvement and recommend solutions to enhance the safety, efficiency, and performance of the facilities.
  • Anticipate risks, constraints, and operational impacts to ensure project success and business continuity.
  • Effectively communicate project progress, issues, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Manage projects involving the addition, replacement, or relocation of production equipment, infrastructure improvements, workspace design, health and safety, regulatory compliance, and operational optimization.
How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a university or college degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • You have at least three (3) years of project management experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • You are results-oriented and recognized for your ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in an environment where priorities change rapidly.
  • You demonstrate excellent organizational skills, autonomy, leadership, and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • You excel at communication, can easily translate technical information into clear and understandable terms, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.
  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project; knowledge of AutoCAD or a PMP certification is considered an asset.
  • You are interested in growing your career in a dynamic and innovative work environment.
