Job description

RHEA Canada is looking for a Project Management Consultant to work in a hybrid role in Ottawa, supporting ongoing projects in the physical security space.

The consulting Project Manager will be working in client environments, directly with Government of Canada teams in the areas of physical security, security technology, and security analysis as well as business consulting from a security perspective.

About the client and location

Due to the nature of RHEA’s work in security and the strict requirements of our Government of Canada clients, we do require that the consulting Project Manager hold a security clearance to at least the Secret level.

Tasks and Activities

The scope of work will include:

  • Oversee the project through development, implementation, and initial operations to ensure it is completed on time, within budget, and meets performance expectations.
  • Develop and maintain all necessary project documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and a cohesive implementation approach.
  • Identify problems, propose solutions, and manage the planning and integration of new or revised project components to address these issues.
  • Define and document project goals, budget requirements, timelines, risk management strategies, team structure, and roles and responsibilities.
  • Develop task proposals, work breakdown structures, and compliance tracking tools.
  • Prepare and deliver regular briefings on project status, progress, and emerging issues.
  • Generate reports and presentations as required to support project communication and decision-making.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience

The following education and credentials are mandatory:

  • A minimum of 15 years’ experience as a project manager, managing large, complex technology or infrastructure projects (such as IT or engineering).
  • Working on medium to large scale Government of Canada projects that include an element of physical security
  • Must hold one of the following certifications:
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) OR
    • Prince2
