Job Location: Montreal (day 1 onboarding onsite / in-office presence required 3x/week)

The candidate will work in a fast-paced and innovative environment, among energetic and creative developers who are enthusiastic about learning and leveraging cutting edge technology to solve business challenges. They will need to embrace innovation and adapt to changing requirements and environment. As we grow to take on new challenges, we have now four squads:

• The semantic data squad builds the firm Knowledge Graph to enable semantic capabilities within the team and across the firm.
• The taxonomy management and classification services squad create classification capabilities based on taxonomies, tools and AI/ML algorithms.
• The semantic apps squad deploys solutions such as advanced search engines and chatbots to facilitate access and usability to the data and applications.

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager/Scrum Master to lead our Agile teams in delivering high-quality projects. The successful candidate will possess excellent project management and Scrum Master skills, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.

As a Project Manager:

• Closely interact with management and clients to understand the squad mission and scope
• Develop and maintain project plans, resource allocation plans, and project schedules.
• Mange scope changes in the Project & perform impact analysis on the timelines.
• Identify and mitigate project risks, and develop contingency plans as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, testing, and product management to ensure project deliverables are met.
• Communicate project progress and status to stakeholders, including project sponsors, customers, and senior management.

As a Scrum Master:

• Facilitate Scrum ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective.
• Ensure the stories ready for closure meet the definition of done and comply to acceptance criteria.
• Coach and mentor team members in Agile principles and practices, ensuring they are working efficiently and effectively.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement and identify opportunities for process improvements.

Required skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Relevant 5+ year’s combined experience as Project Manager, Scrum Master, or Tech Lead
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master, with a strong understanding of Agile principles and practices.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to partner and liaison between business users and a technical development team.
• Able to garner respect from their team and offer solutions by getting into the details.
• Ability to proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency.
• Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications.
• Strong knowledge of project management tools, including Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project, or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Desired skills:

• Certification in Scrum Master (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or equivalent.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment, and continuous monitoring
