Job summary

Exchange Technology Services Inc. in Winnipeg, MB is seeking a Project Manager to lead large, complex IT projects and coordinate cross-functional teams. You will ensure projects stay on time, in scope, and within budget while managing client relationships and vendor engagements.

The role reports to the Director of Project Management and requires PMP certification with at least five years of PM experience. O365 deployment and enterprise projects are a plus in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required.
• Technical background with understanding of IT infrastructure and enterprise projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
• Develop detailed project scopes and objectives with stakeholders and ensure technical feasibility.
• Ensure resource availability and allocation.
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress and communicate progress to stakeholders.
• Use verification techniques to manage changes in scope, schedule, and costs.
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems and tools.
• Report to management as needed.
• Manage relationships with client and other internal departments.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.

JOB OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Project Management, the Project Manager is responsible for managing large, complex projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives while fostering effective collaboration among cross-functional teams.

POSITION TYPE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Develop a detailed project plan to track progress, and communicate progress to both internal and external stakeholders
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
• Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques
• Report and** to management as needed
• Manage relationship and deliverables that overlap with other internal departments
• Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks
• Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• A technical background with understanding or experience in IT infrastructure, O365 deployment, and Enterprise-wide projects would be a plus.
• Demonstrated knowledge of multiple project management methodologies such as Traditional, Hybrid, and Agile.
• Ability to interface with technical groups and business groups
• Proven ability to manage medium to large-scale projects involving teams of 12 or more (ERP, cloud mitigations, cybersecurity) on time and within budget
• Excellent stakeholder-management, communication, and negotiation skills
• Professional verbal and written communication skills
• Experience in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
• Strong ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

WORKING CONDITIONS

• Must be able to obtain and maintain a clear criminal record check
• Physically able to perform all listed job duties
• This role involves working in a variety of environments and includes regular interaction with staff and members of the public
• May be required to stand for several hours a day
• Various shifts at a fast pace to meet service level requirements of our clients
