Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Canada seeks an experienced Project Manager to lead aerospace manufacturing programs. You will oversee strategy, resources, budgets, and schedules across project phases, interfacing with matrix teams and clients to deliver on time.

We value 5+ years of PM experience, knowledge of aeronautical processes, and bilingual French/English communication. PMI certification is a plus; flexible/hybrid work arrangements are available.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Automated Production Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in project management.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes in aeronautical industry.
  • Assets in human resources management within matrix project management.
  • PMI certification is an asset.
  • Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and propose cutting-edge technological acquisition opportunities for machining, sheet metal, composite, and assembly sectors.
  • Define the strategy for carrying out projects: content, scope, resources, deadlines, costs, risks, quality management, communications, and training.
  • Manage development project phases: feasibility study, project mandate and business plan, acquisition, implementation and production start-up.
  • Manage budget, schedule, and resources in all phases; prepare and present progress reports to management.
  • Align resources and act as the interface between matrix services.
  • Manage client expectations and change requests within projects.
  • Develop risk management and mitigation plans.
  • Participate in problem solving and recovery plans to meet deadlines for key deliverables.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes.

How to thrive in this role?
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, Automated ProductionEngineering or Industrial Engineering, or any other relevant experience.
  • You have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in project management.
  • You possess knowledge of manufacturing processes in the aeronautical industry (Asset).
  • You possess assets in human resources management within the framework of matrix project management.
  • You hold a PMI certification (asset).
  • You have a good analytical mind.
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a great sense of organization.
  • You are fluent in French and English both written and spoken.
  • You have knowledge of Microsoft Office such as Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
  • You are passionate about achieving technological excellence.
