Job summary

Allmar Inc. seeks a Project Manager to plan and oversee construction projects, ensuring on-time completion within budget and aligning with the company’s Mission, Vision and Values.

You will designate resources, monitor budgets, track progress, and keep customers informed throughout the project lifecycle, coordinating with contractors and internal teams to achieve project goals.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal skills in English (and French, per job listing)
• University degree or college diploma in related field or equivalent experience
• PM certificate or architectural engineering certificate preferred
• Proficient with MS Office suite

Responsibilities

• Complete or coordinate detailing of materials for project; produce submittal packages and worksheets
• Coordinate ordering/sourcing/materials to meet schedule and minimize freight costs
• Direct and manage on-time scheduling/shipping/install of materials; manage outbound freight
• Coordinate with accounting for prompt billings and change orders; assist collections
• Conduct postmortems and identify process improvements
• Manage contracts for value-add product alternates and changes
• Provide exceptional customer service and build industry relationships
• Site visits to monitor progress and respond to contractor changes promptly
• Resolve disputes with contractors through inspection and discussion

Job Summary

Duties

• Complete or coordinate detailing of materials for project; ensure accurate submittal package and production worksheets are produced


• Suggest alternate products for projects based on your extensive knowledge of products


• Complete or coordinate accurate ordering/sourcing/itemizing of materials for project in a timely manner; be aware of general contractor’s schedule and achieve lowest cost freight


• Direct and Manage on-time scheduling/shipping/install of materials for project; outsource outbound freight and install as required


• Coordinate with accounting to ensure prompt billings and ensure accuracy with contract and change orders issued; assist in collections by communicating with general contractors and resolving issues


• Conduct project postmortems and identify successful and unsuccessful processes within the project.


• Manage the sales contract for maximum profit by value-add selling of product alternates, processing change orders, rectifying deficiencies promptly, etc.


• Provide exceptional customer service; build relationships with industry members


• Communicate with general contractor and respond to changes on the project in a timely manner by issuing change orders promptly; regular site visits to active construction sites


• Ensure that disputes with contractors are resolved promptly through inspection, discussion, and decision making


• Other Duties as assigned

• Extensive related product knowledge and experience required


• Knowledge of building code requirements pertaining to life safety, security, electronics and fire codes


• Ability to interpret and understand architectural drawings

Education And Experience Required

• Must have strong written and verbal skills in both English and French


• University degree or college diploma in related field or equivalent work - related experience


• Project Management or Architectural Engineering certificate or 2-3 years’ related experience


• Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)

WORK CONDITIONS

• Sitting for extended periods of time


• Travel to visit customers, construction sites, attend site meetings, measuring openings, consulting on site conditions.
