Job summary

enCompass Solutions Group in Port Coquitlam, BC is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead diverse engineering projects, ensure on-time delivery and on-budget performance, and satisfy clients across multiple markets.

The ideal candidate holds a degree in electrical engineering or a technologist diploma, or has PM experience in engineering; PMP is a plus. Strong communication, driving license, and ability to manage cross-functional teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
• Technologist Diploma in a relevant specialty such as industrial controls, power or robotics.
• PMP certification is a plus.
• Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience within an engineering firm that handles electrical and/or control system engineering.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Plan and manage multiple small and large projects involving internal and external labor and procurement of material.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget, meeting customer and supplier commitments.
• Coordinate with technical teams to complete work in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Collaborate with accounting to provide financial reporting.
• Support Commercial team in identifying and quoting new opportunities.
• Contribute to development of job cost estimates and attend critical customer meetings as needed.
• Actively participate in EHS policies and procedures.
• Understand industry standards relevant to the projects.

Salary Range: $78,000.00 To $115,000.00 Annually

enCompass is seeking an experienced, innovative and strategic Project Manager for our Port Coquitlam, BC location. enCompass Solutions Group services customers in a variety of markets, including Ports and Terminals, Industrial (Metals, Paper, Chemical, Mining), General Industry (Automotive, Manufacturing), Utility (Power Plants, Water and Wastewater), Marine, Oil and Gas, Mining, and others.

This individual will be a key member of both the Engineering and PMO (Project Management Office) Teams and will be responsible for management of a wide variety of projects in terms of both size and scope. Your contribution to the team will include utilizing a variety of project management skills to ensure projects stay on-time and on-budget and end with a satisfied client.

As part of the team, you will:

• Plan and manage multiple small and large projects involving internal and external labor and procurement of material.
• Demonstrate thorough understanding of customer and supplier contractual commitments, ensuring projects are delivered in a safe manner and that our customer and business commitments are met or exceeded.
• Work with our technical teams to ensure that work is completed in a timely manner and on budget.
• Work with our accounting team to provide financial reporting.
• Support the Commercial team in identifying and quoting new opportunities.
• Assist in the development of job cost estimates and attend critical customer meetings, as needed.
• Actively participate in EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) Policies and Procedures.
• Understand critical industry standards.

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• One of the following:
• Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college

or

• Technologist Diploma in a relevant specialty such as industrial controls, power or robotics

or

• Project Management experience within an engineering firm that handles electrical and/or control system engineering

What you will need to be successful in this role:

• Demonstrated ability to perform Project Management role in a matrixed environment with multiple projects/clients at a time. PMP certification a plus.
• Bachelor's Degree in an Electrical Engineering discipline from an accredited university or college
• Minimum 2 years of Project Management experience within an engineering firm that handles electrical and/or control system engineering.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Valid drivers license
