Job summary

On Side Restoration Services Ltd. is seeking a Project Manager to oversee diverse restoration projects and deliver exceptional customer service.

You will navigate job sites, coordinate teams, and work with insurance adjusters to ensure smooth claims and outcomes. You’ll travel within Canada, attend the Chemainus branch for meetings and training, and support business development while maintaining high quality standards and timely project completion.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year of Project Management experience in restoration.
• Experience with Xactimate.
• Strong written and verbal communication for customer service.
• Willingness to travel within Canada to support cross-region teammates.
• Clean criminal record.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage restoration projects from start to finish.
• Collaborate with insurance adjusters to ensure seamless claims handling.
• Lead and support restoration staff during disaster remediation, cleaning, packing, rebuilding, and completion stages.
• Deliver superior customer service to property owners, businesses, and families.
• Identify new opportunities and contribute to business development efforts.

Territory & Travel Requirements

This role supports restoration projects throughout the Mid-Island corridor, from Cowichan to Courtenay. Our Chemainus branch is strategically located within this broader service area, with Project Managers spending the majority of their time working throughout the territory. Attendance at the branch will be required as directed for meetings, training, operational requirements, and team collaboration.

Compensation

• Salary Range: $50,000-$80,000 /year
• Commissions payments subject to personal performance
• Annual Performance Incentive Bonus – Percentage of base salary subject to personal and company performance.
• The negotiable base salary listed is determined by project volume and gross margins combined with industry experience and demonstrated industry relationships. Total compensation, including bonus plan and industry leading commission structure, will be discussed in full should you be selected for an interview.

What You’ll Do

• Working with Insurance adjusters to ensure a seamless experience for the insured.
• Playing a key role in business development efforts, leveraging their existing network to identify new opportunities and grow our client base.
• Quality control of all aspects of the job.
• The job, you own it, it’s essentially a reflection of you at the end of the day.
• Superior customer service interactions with property owners, businesses, and families.
• Assessing damage and determining the scope of work needed.
• Managing and Directing Restoration Staff in a supportive team environment during: Disaster remediation efforts, cleaning & packing, rebuilding, and project completion.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 1 year of Project Management experience in the restoration industry.
• Experience with Xactimate
• A passion for customer service with strong written and verbal communication
• Be self‑motivated and goal oriented
• Open to working after hours and on weekends
• Problem solving and priority management skills.
• Established trusted connections in the business community is an asset.
• Computer skills, you’ll be working in an MS Office environment.
• You have an ongoing commitment to self‑development
• A willingness to travel within Canada to support cross‑region Teammates. Disasters happen all over and sometimes we need to support our teams in other locations.
