Job summary

HireTalent is seeking a Project Manager for a leading financial institution in Montreal. You will manage IT transformation projects across Banking, Payments, and Cash Management, ensuring governance and strong stakeholder engagement.

The role requires extensive experience, excellent communication, and collaboration with Front Office, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Risk teams. A Bachelor's degree is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT project management experience.
• Experience in Banking, Cash Management, SWIFT payments.
• Consulting experience.
• Deep knowledge of project management concepts, planning, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Bachelor's degree and relevant IT project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead assigned projects to completion with delivery of agreed objectives.
• Ensure all projects follow governance policies, including proper Project Governance and Software Development Lifecycle.
• Identify and secure buy-in from key project stakeholders and sponsors.
• Drive delivery by maintaining project lists, organizing follow-up meetings, and distributing meeting minutes.
• Ensure clear communication of goals, budget, risks, and project status.
• Work closely with Front Office, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal, and Risk to ensure successful project delivery.
• Manage conflict and constraints to ensure project success.
• Lead the cross-functional delivery of technology deliverables using advanced negotiation, facilitation, and dependency management.
• Lead sprint planning and stand-ups across the full project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage cross-team dependencies and risks; define and drive mitigation plans.

The Banking IT Project Management team manages IT transformation projects across all Banking Business Lines, requiring strong functional/business knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of Banking, Payments, and Cash Management.

Responsibilities

• Manage and lead assigned projects to completion with delivery of agreed objectives
