Job summary

eTeam in Montreal is seeking a Senior Project Manager to drive delivery of complex banking projects. The role requires managing projects through the full lifecycle, ensuring governance and adherence to SDLC, and securing stakeholder buy-in.

The position is a 24-month contract in a hybrid setup (3 days onsite, 2 days remote). Strong knowledge of cash management and SWIFT payments is preferred.

Qualifications

• 10 years’ experience as a Project Manager.
• Experience in Cash Management, SWIFT payments, and Banking.
• Consulting experience.
• Expertise in global banking activities and project management concepts.
• Excellent knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and deliver projects to meet objectives and scope.
• Ensure governance and SDLC compliance across projects.
• Identify and secure buy-in from primary stakeholders and sponsors.
• Maintain project plans, meetings, minutes and status reports.
• Coordinate with Front office, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk and others to ensure delivery objectives.

Job description

Location:- Montreal, QC (Hybrid 3 days onsite and 2 days remote every week)

Duration:- 24 Months

The team members are responsible of the following activities:

• Project Management
• Manage and lead assigned projects to completion with delivery of agreed objectives
• Ensure that all projects follow Group Policies and Procedure – including proper Project Governance & Software Development Lifecycle
• Identify and obtain the buy-in from the Primary Project Stakeholders and Sponsors
• Leverage expertise and problem-solving skills to propose solutions during each phase of the project
• Drive the delivery effort by maintaining project lists, organizing follow up meetings, creating and distributing meeting minutes
• Ensure clear communication of goals, budget, risks, efforts involved, & project status
• Work closely with all functions - Front office, Operations, Finance, Compliance, Legal, Risk etc. to ensure successful delivery of project objectives
• Manage situations of conflict and constraints to ensure the success of the project
• Provide project plans, status reports, track issues and risks, budget/actuals tracking, testing co-ordination, implementation plan preparation and oversight

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• 10 years’ experience as Project Manager
• Experience in Cash Management, SWIFT payments, & Banking
• Consulting experience
• Expertise in functional &operational knowledge of Global Banking activities
• Deep knowledge of & experience executing all project management concepts
• Excellent level of knowledge of MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

The candidate :

• Must have an in-depth understanding of project life cycle and what each phase implies
• Must have excellent communication skills – Both written and oral
• Must be able to manage situations of conflict and work professionally and efficiently with collaborators to arrive at a solution
• Needs to demonstrate the ability to adapt and learn new processes quickly
• Needs to show ability to multi-task and shift gears for assorted topics during the project life cycle
• Must be able to demonstrate the ability to delve into complicated situations (issues, people, processes etc.), sort information and propose the solution/next steps

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree from accredited university with focus on IT, Business Administration, or other relevant fields of study.
• 10+ years of relevant industry experience in Banking .
