Overview

We are looking for a skilled Project Manager for a client in Toronto. They are seeking PMs with experience working on technical/development projects, especially in the Wealth Management sector.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to successfully deliver small to mid size initiatives.
• Understand business needs for clients in Banking and Financial Services.
• Be responsible for overall project planning and work estimates.
• Coordinate project teams and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
• Monitor project budgets, track expenditures, and report variances.
• Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all stakeholders including executives.
• Prepare reports and presentations to share project updates.
• Identify and resolve issues that arise during project execution.
• Assist with proposals and pre-sales as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 7 years’ experience in Information Technology, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience delivering projects as a project manager.
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree complemented with Project Management Certification (PMP) and/or Agile/Scaled Agile certification.
• Results oriented; highly developed consultative, interpersonal skills and a team player.
• Demonstrated project management skills with experience delivering complex projects.
• Familiarity with project management tools.
• Strong communication skills and direct communication experience with senior business and technology executives.
• Proven track record of high customer satisfaction and ability to motivate and mentor team members.
• At least 3 years’ experience in the Financial Industry, preferably in wealth management or banking.
• Excellent written and presentation skills with ability to communicate at all levels with business and technology teams.
• A positive, can-do attitude and customer-focused approach.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills; ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Problem solving skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple priorities in parallel.
• Strong business and IT knowledge and experience in the Financial Industry; understanding of delivery methodologies and architectures.
• Experience delivering projects using true Agile/Scrum/Hybrid methodologies is preferred.
