Job summary

Jobtailor in Canada is seeking a driven Project Manager to translate ideas into feasible solutions and lead cross-functional teams through digital projects from discovery to deployment.

You will manage requirements, user stories, sprints, and workshops, maintain schedules and risk logs, and communicate with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery within scope and budget.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of project management experience.
• Education in project management/marketing/business/comms or equivalent.
• Experience across a range of digital media.
• Experience implementing Agile methodologies.
• Experience developing requirements, user stories, and briefs.
• CMS experience (WordPress/Drupal).
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite (Confluence/Jira).
• Knowledge of Discover, Definition, Design, Develop, Deploy processes.

Responsibilities

• Own final deliverables within contractual scope and timelines.
• Define and prioritize requirements for web/marketing projects.

• Manage Kanban and Sprint boards; translate requirements into Jira tickets.
• Develop and deliver end-user training; host client meetings and workshops.
• Plan client workshops and manage project milestones; monitor budgets and risks.

Job description

• Translate conceptual ideas into technically feasible solutions and act as the project expert with an intimate understanding of the entire solution
• Collaborate with Development, Marketing, UX, and Creative departments on key process efficiencies
• Apply business acumen to uncover web solutions addressing clients’ business needs
• Own final deliverables and ensure they are complete and accurate within contractual scope
• Define and prioritize requirements for web and/or marketing projects
• Craft requirements documents with technical specifications, functionalities, user stories, creative briefs, and marketing strategy documentation
• Manage Kanban and Sprint boards and translate project requirements into Jira tickets
• Create and maintain project schedules, status reports, and risk and issue logs
• Develop and deliver end-user training
• Host internal meetings and lead client meetings related to project milestones
• Plan and facilitate client workshops and requirements-gathering meetings
• Work with the project sponsor to meet deadlines and budgets
• Act as a client advocate and manage internal communications throughout the project life cycle
• Communicate with Project Delivery leadership regarding escalation, resourcing, and budget concerns
• Foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Project Delivery team

Requirements

• 2+ years of project management experience
• Post-secondary education in project management, marketing, advertising, business, communications, public relations, or equivalent experience
• Demonstrated experience across a range of digital media
• Experience implementing Agile project management methodologies
• Experience developing requirements, use cases, user stories, and/or creative briefs
• Experience working within a CMS, such as WordPress or Drupal
• Familiarity with Atlassian Suite products, including Confluence and Jira, with project management experience in Jira
• Knowledge of project delivery processes: Discover, Definition, Design, Develop, Deploy
• Ability to help project teams find workable and pragmatic solutions
• Ability to present information to internal and external stakeholders and host workshops
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized and able to function in a fast-paced business environment
• PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Business Analysis Certificate (ECBA or CPRE), and ITIL V3 Foundation considered assets
