Job summary

Socket.dev in Canada is seeking a Project Manager to oversee projects from post-sale through delivery, coordinating with pre-production, production, transport and installation teams to ensure smooth execution. You will manage subcontractors and suppliers, track costs, prepare billing documentation, and maintain budget adherence while fostering strong client relationships and clear communication in French and English.

Proficiency in MS Office is required.

Qualifications

  • Requires college or university degree in Business Administration, Project/Construction Management and 3-5 years of related experience.
  • Written and spoken French/English required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong planning, priority management and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Must hold all documents to work legally in Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan.
  • Facilitate meetings; track action items and milestones.
  • Measure project performance to identify improvements.
  • Schedule meetings and prepare minutes.

Job description

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Communicate with internal and external colleagues and subcontractors, consult, facilitate discussions, and build strong relationships;
  • Establish a high level of trust with the assigned Account Manager and act as the main liaison between operations and the manager;
  • Oversee project progress from post-sale through to delivery, including coordination with pre-production, production, transport, and installation teams, right through to preparing billing documentation;
  • Manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables;
  • Manage project budgets;
  • Track project costs to remain within budget and ensure timely and accurate invoicing of completed projects;
  • Apply project management principles such as planning, scope of work, timelines, quality control, and risk management;
  • Ensure the client onboarding process is smooth and transparent;
  • Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan;
  • Facilitate meetings, track and assign action items, monitor progress, and follow project execution milestones;
  • Measure project performance to identify areas for improvement;
  • Schedule meetings and prepare minutes.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • College or university degree in Business Administration, Project/Construction Management and/or 3-5 years of experience in a related field;
  • Written and spoken French/English required;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Strong skills in planning, priority management, and conflict resolution;
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills;
  • Must hold all required documents to work legally in Canada.

We are looking for someone with strong interpersonal skills, as this role involves frequent communication with colleagues, subcontractors, and suppliers. Adaptability, resourcefulness, leadership, the ability to read and interpret plans/specifications/technical drawings, and knowledge of the signage industry would be considered assets.
