Job description

Project Manager – Landscape Construction
Lead. Build. Inspire. Grow.

At Horizon, we don’t just build landscapes — we create spaces that connect people, inspire pride, and stand the test of time.

We’re looking for a Project Manager who is equal parts leader, problem-solver, and relationship-builder — someone who thrives on taking big ideas and turning them into beautifully executed projects.

If you love collaborating with great people, tackling challenges head‑on, and seeing your work come to life, this might be your next big move. This role will be a shared role between our Lower Mainland and Sea to Sky Offices. You choose which office is your home!

What You’ll Be Doing

From contract award and pass over to final handoff, you’ll take ownership of your projects — budgets, schedules, and client relationships included. You’ll be supported by our proven Project Manager Playbook but trusted to lead with your own expertise and initiative. You may have a Project Coordinator to support and you have a strong field team as your eyes and ears on site.

You will:

  • Guide projects from pre‑construction through closeout, staying ahead of the curve.
  • Lead and support site teams and subcontractors to deliver top‑tier results.
  • Build strong client partnerships through proactive communication and trust.
  • Keep a close eye on budgets, schedules, and quality — because details matter.
  • Champion Horizon’s culture of teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

Some days you’ll be planning and forecasting in the office; others, you’ll be walking sites, solving challenges, and celebrating progress with your team.

What You Bring
  • 5+ years of construction experience (landscape construction experience preferred)
  • 2+ years in a project management role
  • Post‑secondary education in Project Management, Construction Management, Business, or a related field
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem‑solving skills
  • A sharp eye for identifying risks, solving problems, and applying value engineering principles.
  • Tech proficiency – technology is a key tool so knowing how to best use it is important! Proficient with MS Office, Bluebeam, and MS Project
  • A passion for building exceptional projects and strong teams
  • Keen attention to detail and a strong affinity for numbers

Certifications such as Red Seal, CHT, CLM, or ISA are an asset (completed or in progress).

Why Horizon?

Because your work here matters — and so do you.

We value collaboration because it drives better projects, stronger teams, and continuous growth. It’s how we deliver quality work and take pride in what we build together.

Here’s what you can expect:

  • Competitive salary: $90,000–$130,000 based on experience
  • 20 days of paid time off (15 vacation, 5 sick days)
  • Extended health, dental, and vision coverage
  • RRSP enrollment after 1 year
  • Annual company bonus eligibility
  • Laptop, cell phone, and mileage reimbursement
  • Hybrid flexibility
