This is a remote position; the resource can work from anywhere in Canada, aligned with EDT/EST hours
Roles and responsibilities:
- Provide project management expertise for all project activities by collaborating with stakeholders, project team members, and organizational groups using proven project management methodologies.
- Oversee the project during solution selection, configuration, implementation, and transition to operations, ensuring resource adequacy and project completion within agreed timelines and performance parameters.
- Assist in developing project plans and prioritizing work to meet project objectives.
- Coordinate with project resources and collaborate with other teams as required.
- Monitor project risks, issues, and interdependencies, delivering within scope, quality, and timeframes.
- Prepare plans, charts, tables, and diagrams to analyze and communicate project progress, challenges, and issues using various project management tools.
- Track and communicate project progress (team velocity) against plans, requirements, quality measures, and milestones.
- Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders to oversee projects, understand client needs, and resolve inquiries and concerns.
- Oversee and support the implementation of medium to large-sized projects.
- Serve as a central contact point for project resources and subject matter experts.
- Assist in developing and maintaining documentation, executive briefings, and records of decisions, ensuring compliance with document management policies.
- Organize electronic materials for timely sharing.
- Gather, assess, and prepare background materials for workshops, meetings, and presentations.
- Manage change notices, requests, and modifications to project documentation, including naming conventions, versioning, and templates.
- Support project resources in drafting and issuing deliverables and follow up for feedback.
- Perform other related activities and deliverables as needed.
Must-have skills, qualifications, and experience:
- University degree or college diploma in information technology, project management, business analysis, or a related field.
- At least five (5) years of experience using Agile or hybrid delivery approaches (Agile/Waterfall) for strategic projects.
- At least five (5) years of recent experience on medium to large-sized projects.
- Ability to communicate effectively at all organizational levels through clear written and oral presentations.
- Experience managing multiple initiatives concurrently and handling interdependencies efficiently.
Nice to have:
- Project Management Institute (PMI) - Professional in Business Analysis (PMI-PBA) certification.
