Job Description

You will work with internal teams to define and refine new product specifications. You are responsible for coordinating with teams to design, develop, and release new products into production, following proactive and strategic actions that support corporate growth through innovative and conscientious efforts. This role involves various aspects of hardware development and offers a unique opportunity to see design concepts realized into manufactured products. We seek candidates with a computer science background who are interested in operations, management, and manufacturing.

Responsibilities

1. Coordinate with teams to design, develop, and release new products, including hardware development aspects.
2. Ensure successful release of products meeting PRD, on schedule and within budget.
3. Assist in realizing operations inventory requirements to achieve revenue and business goals.
4. Implement proactive, strategic plans to minimize or eliminate threats to corporate objectives.
5. Support sourcing, quoting, and procurement activities.
6. Follow SOPs during task execution.
7. Organize component data and manage lifecycle records efficiently.
8. Communicate with vendors to expedite testing and product delivery.
9. Develop and discuss specific plans, meet deadlines, and update progress until completion.

Requirements

1. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
2. Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied science, computer science, or related field.
3. Proven experience interfacing with management, developers, suppliers, contract manufacturers, logistics providers, and customers.
4. Experience in hardware design and manufacturing.
5. Knowledge of engineering BOM and change order management.
6. Understanding of manufacturing processes, especially in server systems, PCBA, and WiFi/AP products.
7. Experience with inventory control and quality concepts (IQC/OQA, transactions).
8. Sourcing and purchasing experience in a high-tech environment.
9. Skills in project scheduling, budgeting, RFP, component sourcing, and BOM cost analysis.
10. Strong understanding of supply chain management.
11. Critical thinking and attention to detail.
12. Experience with quoting, sourcing, and working with vendors.
13. Ability to complete tasks efficiently and respond to urgent needs.
14. Understanding of long-term goals and daily task management.
15. Ability to document and communicate effectively with developers.
16. Enthusiasm, positive attitude, and receptiveness to feedback.
17. Willingness to observe, learn, and ask questions.

The salary range for this full-time position in Canada is $80,000 - $110,000 annually, based on factors like experience, skills, and qualifications.
