Responsibilities:

  • Provide back up to the Redevelopment Manager when on vacation to lead department
  • The application of knowledge, processes, skills, tools, and techniques can have a significant impact on project success.
  • Understanding the fast paced healthcare environment will have positive impact on project success
  • Regular communication with clinical and non-clinical stakeholders
  • Communication with vendors/contractors, consultants, and stakeholders
  • Utilizing a variety of software including: AutoCAD, Bluebeam, MS Project schedule and Visio process mapping for presentations
  • General understanding of Construction Contracts (CCDC2), Construction Act and Statutory Declarations
  • Progress applications, reviews and approvals
  • Working knowledge of OAA 600 Contracts with Architects

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Construction or Engineering Technology, Interior Design (CET, MAATO, OCCET, ARIDO designations or equivalent)
  • Minimum 3-5 years Project Management experience in healthcare
  • Project Management Certificate (PMP) preferred
  • Construction and Business related management, as well as the Project Management Certificate promotes a common vocabulary for using and applying project management concepts within the construction industry.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience operating Microsoft Office Suite, Project, Visio, AutoCAD, Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural & engineering drawings and technical specification documents
  • Working knowledge of hospital concepts
  • Knowledge of infrastructure and building systems
