Job summary

U-Haul International, Inc. is seeking a Project Management Technician to support facility-related projects and maintenance coordination at our Campbell River location.

The role requires hands-on experience with trade-related tasks and a valid driver’s license to travel to job sites as needed. Responsibilities include responding promptly to facility needs, collaborating on projects or working independently, and adhering to safety protocols around moving parts and equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience using tools in carpentry, metal framing, painting, masonry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping.
• Ability to respond promptly to facility needs and work on projects independently or in collaboration.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record to operate a vehicle.

Project Management Technician Minimum Qualifications:

• Experience performing and utilizing tools and equipment in any of the following areas: carpentry, metal framing, painting, masonry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing or landscaping
• Respond promptly and efficiently to facility needs.
• Collaborate on projects or work alone as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record to operate a motor vehicle; adhere to all local vehicular regulations while driving

The work requires observing necessary safety precautions while working around moving parts, machines for building and site maintenance. The use of protective clothing or gear such as masks, goggles, gloves or shields may be required.

Physical Demands:

The work requires some physical exertion such as long periods both indoors and outdoors while remaining stationary, traversing spaces, repositioning to reach and use tools, and moving a minimum of 50 lbs assisted or unassisted.
